Social Services Assistance at Whittemore.

Are you nearing age 65 and eligible for Medicare soon? Have questions or need advice on understanding how the system works?

Attend a free presentation that will review typical case studies that show how Medicare’s various pieces fit together for you. Topics include: Original Medicare, Part A and Part B, Medicare Advantage Plans, Supplemental Insurance (Medigap, including latest rates), Part D Prescription Drug Plans, and Medicare Savings Plans. All these questions will be answered in our Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging’s (WCAAA) First Tuesday assistance session on May 5 from 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon. After the Roundtable, the counselor will be available privately and confidentially for individual questions on any of these topics: Medicare, Medigap,  Meals on Wheels, SNAP, Housing, Household chores, Transportation and more. Get assistance from a WCAAA representative on the first Tuesday morning of each month. Call Whittemore Library for more information or to register - 729-4591.
