posted May 12, 2015, 12:35 PM by Whittemore Technology

Whittemore’s Music Series continues on Sunday, May 17 at 3 p.m. when the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s own Mark Naftalin comes to town. Naftalin played piano and keyboards for the influential Paul Butterfield Blues Band and has recorded and performed with some of the all-time greats of the blues and pop music scene including Van Morrison, Buddy Guy, Charlie Musselwhite, Big Joe Turner, and John Hammond, in addition to his music producer and radio host experience.  Naftalin will play a mixed program of improvisations, standards, and his own original compositions. There will be opportunities to purchase recordings and meet Naftalin in person at the concert. Don’t miss a legend!  Mark will be joined by a special guest, Naugatuck’s own Ed Kamienski, chromatic harmonica entertainer, on event day. Call Whittemore Library for more information - 729-4591.
